㈜드림풋볼(대표 최소영)이 주최 및 주관을 맡고, (재)양구군스포츠재단이 후원한 ‘제7회 양구 국토정중앙배 전국 유소년 축구대회’가 성공적으로 마무리됐다.
이번 대회는 U8세부터 U12세까지의 유소년 선수들의 경기로 연령 별 조별예선과 클래식, 챌린지 본선으로 나뉘어 펼쳐졌다. 코로나19 방역과 지역경제 활성화를 위해 양구종합운동장과 B, C 보조경기장 등에서 동시에 진행됐다.
참가 선수들과 관계자, 주최측 등 약 2500~3000명에 달하는 인원 등이 참가했으며 서흥원 강원도 양구군수 또한 방문해 자리를 빛냈다.
서흥원 군수는 “소상공인으로 살면서 배운 실물경제에 대한 경험을 바탕으로 농업, 관광, 스포츠 등을 활성화해 양구 경제를 되살리겠다”고 전했다.
최소영 대표는 대회를 앞두고 한 인터뷰서 “안전하고 건강한 유소년 축구 및 지역 경제 활성화를 위해 최선을 다하겠다. 다양한 협약과 전략적 제휴를 통해 위드 코로나 시대의 대회 운영과 유치를 성공적으로 마무리하고 싶다”고 밝혔다.
